    Lorraine is a Director of Sherrards Occupational Health. Lorraine manages the day to day running of OH and drawing on her experience within HR. She is practical and logical in her approach to the needs of clients and understands the importance of dealing with Occupational Health issues in a calm and timely manner.

    Lorraine is passionate about women having a positive menopause experience and the facilitator of our ‘Menopause in the Workplace’ training programme.

    Lorraine joined the team at Sherrards Employment Law Solicitors in 2004. Previously Lorraine spent 15 years in the airline industry, where she studied her CIPD. She became a licenced menopause champion (MEG) and trainer in 2023, and is also a QTT® Coaching Practitioner, a talking therapy coaching technique. Currently Lorraine is studying the area of Reiki healing.

    Lorraine enjoys travel, running and Pilates.

    Ivy is our Occupational Health administrator and joined the business in August 2024. Ivy had previously worked in the care industry and pharmacy, gaining 10+ years of customer service, and health care experience. Ivy has a wonderfully calm demeanour and is excellent at recognising the needs of the clients when it comes to the provision of OH services.

    Outside of work Ivy has a love of poetry and enjoys hiking whenever she can.

    Jane is an experienced OH Adviser with a broad range of experience over 18 years of practice. She has worked for small to medium enterprises, large private corporations and complex public employers, has a specialist degree in OH and has attended regular post graduate training programmes to extend her knowledge.

    Jane regularly supports HR professionals and individual businesses with questions about the impact of health on work, the impact of work on health and those who are seeking formal case management advice.

    Dr Stewart Tomlinson

    GP & OCCUPATIONAL PHYSICIAN

    Dr Stewart Tomlinson is an experienced GP and Occupational Physician with over 25 years’ clinical and leadership expertise across the NHS and independent healthcare. He qualified from the Royal London Hospital in 1994 and became a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 1998. He went on to achieve a Master’s Degree in Diabetes with Distinction in 2007, reflecting his wider commitment to population health improvement.

    In 2001, Stewart founded Medwyn Occupational Health, recognising the need for a high-quality local service to support employee health and wellbeing. Under his leadership the organisation achieved SEQOHS accreditation with the Royal College of Physicians in 2015, demonstrating its commitment to clinical excellence and best practice in occupational medicine.

    Alongside his occupational health work, Stewart has held senior roles in NHS system leadership. He clinically led the diabetes strategy across Surrey from 2016 to 2022, introducing innovative models of care and strengthening integration across primary and secondary services. He continues to contribute strategically as a Board Director of DHC Federation, overseeing NHS primary care, specialist outpatient services, and Talking Therapies across Surrey.

    Outside of medicine, he enjoys cycling in the Surrey Hills and the Mallorcan mountains.

    Louise did a Batchelor of Science in Immunology at Kings in London graduating in 1986. She qualified from Leicester University in 1991. Louise completed her GP training in Leicester, London and Surrey becoming a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 1996. Louise was awarded the Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and the Diploma of the Faculty of Family planning and Reproductive Medicine in 1996.

    Louise subsequently became a partner at Medwyn Surgery in 1997. She has the Diploma in Essential Palliative care. She gained the Diploma of Occupational Health Medicine in 2014 and joined the Medwyn Occupational Health team. Louise is committed to providing appropriate and valuable advice to support clients and their employees.

  • Lesley Fairplay

    After qualifying as a registered general nurse in the 1980s, Lesley gained general medical experience in various areas before specialising in cardiac and ITU nursing. Her career in occupational health nursing began in 2000 and she subsequently achieved a specialist occupational health qualification. Lesley joined Medwyn Occupational Health in 2019.

    Lesley has a wealth of experience in a variety of industries, including NHS/Healthcare, Education, Schools, Higher Education, Aviation, Fire and Rescue Services, Ambulance Services and a broad range of small businesses/manufacturers. Lesley has wide-ranging clinical expertise including managing sickness absence, advising on rehabilitation programs for employees following prolonged periods of absence, health education, assisting businesses in developing policies, conducting health surveillance with a focus on preventing work-related ill health and promoting employee well-being.

    In her spare time Lesley is an avid walker and enjoys creating home furnishings.
